Democrats eye pickups in Legislature

CARSON CITY -- Despite the record $833 million tax increase and the possibility Nevada will go for President Bush, Democrats could pick up seats in both the state Senate and Assembly in Tuesday's election.

University of Nevada, Reno political science professor Eric Herzik sees Democrats gaining at least two Assembly seats and one state Senate seat come Tuesday.

"There just are more Republicans in vulnerable seats than Democrats in vulnerable seats," said Herzik, interim dean of the College of Arts and Science.

2. I think you are right
they did endorse Bush. Don't know if Las Vegas Sun endorsed Kerry or not, but seem like they would...

3. The LVRJ is our local RW rag. Iknow some of the reporters, and they
admit the paper's bias.

If you need convincing, check out their op-ed pages. They're disgusting.

I fully expect the LVRJ headline Weds to read:

"Bush gets millions of votes, Election outcome certain"

With a small subhead;

"Kerry projected winner"

5. Woopsie! - The papers are OWNED by different corporations!

And ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COMPANIES with different editorial and other staffs.

They just share the same printing and classified ads company to save on printing and other overhead expenses.

They share a Sunday Edition with different sections for each paper.

Same as Honolulu Star Bulletin and Honolulu Advertiser.

LV Sun is owned by the Greenspun family.

LV RJ is owned by another puke.

Funny thing is - Greenspun is a BIGTIME Clinton booster/supporter - always has been.

RJ just sucks rocks big time!

LV Sun is headquartered in Green Valley in Henderson off Green Valley Parkway next to the 215.

RJ is headquartered by the Spaghetti Bowl - Las Vegas Blvd & US95.

10. Hank did a number on dem friend of mine
that ran for Guv decades ago. We've never figured out why he was so pissed off at him. Pretty much ruined friend's political career.
