Why, thanks, Mr. Heller, the Republican. I feel so much safer now. Glad I voted early.
Reno--Nevada Secretary of State Dean Heller and local election officials are warning everyone — including lawyers for both major political parties — not to intimidate voters at the polls on Election Day.
An army of party observers are expected Tuesday to stand watch over polling places in Nevada and elsewhere in the country.
“We have heard countless media reports about thousands of attorneys descending on polling place to ‘assist’ voters with problems that may occur,” Heller said. “I will prosecute to the full extent of the law anyone who attempts to intimidate, coerce or influence any voters at any polling place in this state … no matter who the culprit may be.”
