With Attorney General Brian Sandoval's decision to seek a federal judgeship, all six of Nevada's constitutional offices will be up for grabs in 2006.
The offices include governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, treasurer and controller -- all currently held by Republicans who, except Sandoval, face term limits that prevent them from seeking re-election.
The rare opportunity for political hopefuls has drawn a lot of interest -- in the case of Las Vegas businessman Steve Hill an early fund-raising effort that already has generated $450,000 for his bid for lieutenant governor.
