Early voting is incredibly convenient but it does stifle the buildup and suspense.
I'll be damn glad to stop receiving daily attack flyers from Myrna Williams and her opponent with the long name. I've never seen anything like it. Literally every day for weeks.
Dina Titus is expected to win the gov primary from Henderson mayor Jim Gibson fairly handily after a long and often nasty battle. Looks like Gibson almost knows his fate, running bland commercials in the final days, never mentioning Titus at all but asking people to vote, even if it's not for him.
It would be awesome if Bob Beers somehow upsets Jim Gibbons in the GOP gov primary, since both Democrats lead Beers in the polls.
Ross Miller, son of former governor Bob Miller, is favored in the race for secretary of state. Our nominee will also be favored for attorney general but that race was unopposed on both sides, so it's not on the primary ballot.
Wild race for sheriff here in Las Vegas, 17 names. The top Democrat is Laurie Bisch, who is expected to be among the top handful but not favored to win.
Brutal race for the GOP nomination for Lt. Gov, favorite Brian Krolicki trading barbs with unexpectedly strong challenger Barbara Lee Woollen. Woollen would be easier to defeat statewide by our presumed nominee, Bob Unger. But Krolicki will probably pull out the Republican primary.
