First Titus/Gibbons debate, September 25
Titus is mopping him up, including mocking Gibbons with his stance that "education is first." She got huge applause by saying it doesn't matter where you say you put it if you don't fund it adequately.

The only problem was the beginning of the debate, where Titus in her opening statement thanked UNLV for hosting the debate. Basic problem: the debate is being held at UNR, the University of Nevada-Reno. Titus already has some issues with northern Nevada dating to comments she made during the state legislature so it will be interesting to see how that opening minor gaffe is played in the media.

The debate is getting very nasty midway thru, both sides accusing each other of being unethical. Titus, a college professor at UNLV, brought up the case of Gibbons' plagiarizing a speech; "In my class if you plagiarize you get an F."
