Getting Involved in NH this election year: Keep NH Blue
Volunteers are needed to help out this year. If you haven't already received this e-mail from the NHDP, here's an excerpt and the link: http://www.keepnhblue.com/

Imagine a New Hampshire of the not to distant future:

A Democratic Governor in the corner office
A Democratic Speaker of the State House
A Democratic State Senate
Democratic U.S. Representatives
What would this mean for the working families of New Hampshire?

An end to the yearly push for so-called "right-to-work" legislation aimed at preventing New Hampshire workers from organizing.
An end to annual battles with right-wing ideologues over divisive wedge issues.
Health is a priority not an afterthought.
Key programs like Social Security, Student Loans, and Medicare are permanently OFF the chopping block.
Clean air and water.
This vision of New Hampshire is not as far off as you would think. In fact, we know that NH Democrats have a rare opportunity to make significant gains in 2006. After all:

...a recent UNH poll shows that George W. Bush's approval rating has sunk below 40% while Governor John Lynch's approval rating is above 70%.
...House and Senate Democrats played critical roles in this legislative session and most recently won 7 of 8 special elections for NH House of Representatives.
...Charlie Bass and Jeb Bradley have stumbled since the 2004 elections, and both look vulnerable this year.
Yes, this is a year in which Democrats in New Hampshire can make up ground, but to get there, we must marshal the grassroots into an effective and focused effort to identify and motivate voters to get out on Election Day and support Democrats from the top of the ticket on down.

To do that, the New Hampshire Democratic Party has created www.KeepNHBlue.com, a program that will empower grassroots activists to recruit, train and activate volunteers in their neighborhood and in turn give that local organization the resources necessary to become a powerful GOTV tool.
