I just got this via a mailing list I'm on and thought I'd post it here just in case some of you are interested and haven't seen this yet. Responses are due bye the 30th:
Several years ago, the State of New Hampshire, the federal
government and a multitude of conservation organizations
including the AMC, worked together to conserve the vast
Connecticut Lakes Headwaters forest in Pittsburg, Clarksville,
and West Stewartstown in the northern tip of the state. Now the
state is asking for your input on such issues as whether ATVs
should be allowed, whether new hiking trails should be created,
and other issues that concern outdoor recreation in this
important forest. To learn more and to provide your thoughts, go
