Is Jean Shaheen going to run again in 2008 for senate?

In 2002, I truly think that seat was hers - we don't know how many votes were lost because of the phone jamming scandal. I know that Sununu is a tad more moderate than some of the other republicans in the senate, but I would really like to see Shaheen run again! The way that New Hampshire started going blue in 2006, I think she could win in a heartbeat!

2. Shaheen pondering another Senate run, husband says

From today's Globe:

CONCORD, N.H. --Former New Hampshire Gov. Jeanne Shaheen is pondering another try for the U.S. Senate.

That's according to a pretty reliable source -- husband and fellow Democratic activist Bill Shaheen.

Attending a Democratic Party fund-raiser in Manchester yesterday, he confirmed Shaheen -- who served three terms as governor -- is thinking about running again for the Senate. But Bill Shaheen says he doesn't know when his wife will make that decision -- she doesn't tell him because she knows he will tell the press, he said.
