Could you answer that question in New Hampshire?

What color is your state in the link below?

1. I've already soured on the ACLU over privacy issues
Your spamming of the site with your inane question certainly does nothing to restore my once-held esteem for the organization. But to answer you, since I'm in New Hampshire, yes, I could answer that question in New Hampshire. However, I'm heading to Mass. a little later so I won't be able to then. Oh, and no, I won't help YOU!

2. How do you figure that I "spammed"? Because I went to each state and posted this? I am trying to
"get the word out" because I am a civil rights activist since the 60s. I knew that most convicted felons didn't know that they could vote (depends on where they are in probation/parole, if allowed at all) but I have really been shocked at the number of 'non-convicted' people in general who didn't know this.

So, have your issues with ACLU - they had the best presentation of anyone on the internet - I'm not endorsing or promoting ACLU - just using their map.

As far as heading to Mass, wasn't Mass. on the map that you viewed? LOL

3. It is spam
If you want to post a journal or something to discuss the issue that's fine. But to simply go to each state and post your inane comment without any substantiating views or evidence is wrong. It serves to diminish the purpose of the state listings which is to focus attention on issues and events in those individual states. The issue that you raise is of substantial importance and you'd do well to write about it in detail instead of posting your comment wily-nily on the site.

4. It IS an issue that affects EVERY state b/c there are ppl in every state who are unaware of the laws
In fact, most ppl I encounter 'assume' that a felon cannot vote. Period. I posted the question to provoke thought and investigation in EACH state b/c the laws vary from state to state. Why would I write a journal that would be read "wily-nily"? From what I have seen of journals on this site, they seem to be dominated by ppl who are into self-aggrandizement, which I'm not.

You've made your point. Continue to critique my post if you must. I stand by the manner in which I disseminated the information. Period.

5. And I stand by my point that you're a spammer
If you're truly concerned about the issue write something substantive. And if posting the same, simple comment on virtually every state's page isn't a form of self-aggrandizement, I don't know what is.

Not only are you being superfluous, you're exhibiting an arrogance that is offensive.

6. And your verbal sparring over HOW the message was delivered is OFF TOPIC
which has become typical of DU, I am noticing, so I am spending less time on here. You've totally veered off course because you apparently prefer to spend time writing about what is non/acceptable to you regarding HOW to post, WHAT to post, TO WHOM to post, etc. etc. That was not the topic at all.

Now, your post has denigrated to attacking me. Typical DU behavior resulting in implosion. Accusing me of self-aggrandizement is laughable. Had I posted a journal at each state site, THAT would have been self-aggrandizement. I posted no opinion, I asked 2, simple questions. It is up to the reader to decide whether to continue reading, to investigate, or to ignore.

If you find this post so offensive, please alert the moderators and put me on your ignore list.
