Fernald wins state senate nomination!

Huzzah! Mark Fernald was successful in his last-minute write-in campaign for the Democratic nomination for his old state senate seat.

Since moderate Republican Andy Peterson was purged by the barking moonbat righties on Tuesday, Fernald stands a chance at picking up a seat for the Dems. Peter Bragdon is going to have a lot of trouble in Peterborough.

If Mark can pull this off, and if Maggie Hassan, Dave Gelinas and Beth Rodd can knock off a few incumbents, we will have a much friendlier senate come January.

1. great news!
I hope Mark can beat the barking moonbat rightie. I never expected to be pleased to see Carl Johnson win anything, but at least he beat his barking moonbat challenger.

Willie Farnum of District 3 - another write in candidate, was able to get on the ballot against Joe Kenney. There's going to be a lot of support for Willie, since Kenney really pissed off a lot of people with SB 458 - the special interest legislation for CMI, the group who wants to build a private racetrack on Mt. Whittier in Tamworth. He also supported SB110, which has proven disasterous for the north country.

I wish I thought Jerry Sorlucco would beat John Gallus in District 1, but it's not likely.
