Dear Wolfe Pack,
It's getting to be that time when people start paying attention
to Congressional races as well as the race for the White House,
especially with the Democratic National Convention right around
the corner. That means we have to knock on more doors, make more
phone calls and when people hear the word Congress, Anne Wolfe
has to be the first name that comes to mind.
The campaign recently received some great news! The Democratic
Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), a national organization
whose sole mission is to get Democrats elected to the House, has
begun to take an interest in Scott Garrett's vulnerability and
will begin focusing their efforts on this race in the very near
future.

The Wolfe Campaign will be targeting the Democrats in Paramus,
Demarest, and Hackettstown in an effort dubbed "5000 in 5" from
Wednesday, July 21 to Sunday, July 25. In the course of those 5
days we are going to reach out to 5000 members of the party. We
are asking volunteers to take a list of 100 homes, knock on their
doors, and deliver some literature at any time you want during
those few days. If you're interested in Paramus or Demarest,
stop by campaign headquarters at 470 Route 17 South in Ridgewood
any time after 12PM on Monday the 19th to pick your information.
If you live closer to Hackettstown, e-mail the campaign and we'll
get you set up with our people out there.

* This Sunday, the 18th, there will be a rally for Anne at the
Pascack Brook County Park in Westwood at 2PM where everyone can
meet the candidate. The rally is open to the general public.
Immediately following, the Wolfe campaign will be having a BBQ
with hamburgers, hotdogs, and chicken until 5PM. We're just
asking that anyone who stays around for the BBQ contribute $25
per person or $75 for families of 3 or more. The park has a
pond, tennis courts, a playground and plenty of open space.
* On Wednesday August 11 we are holding an "End Your Day the
Right Way" happy hour fundraiser at Bourbon Street in Hillsdale.
If you'd like to be on the Host Committee, which means in
exchange for a contribution you become an official host on all
our advertising and promise to recruit more attendees, please
contact the campaign.
* If you know of an event that Anne might be interested in
attending to meet people, don't hesitate to e-mail the campaign!

With his first vote in Congress in January of 2003, Garrett voted
to NOT extend federal temporary unemployment benefits an
additional 13 weeks for employees who had been out of work and
had exhausted their 26 weeks of state assistance. 416 members of
Congress voted for this bill, Garrett and 3 others voted against.
If you're thinking about whether or not you can make a financial
contribution or spare some time to volunteer, remember these two
things:
1 - Any donation or amount of time helping the campaign is
greatly appreciated.
2 - Campaigns are called races for a good reason. There is a
finish line, November 2nd. There will be a winner and a loser.
Once the polls close, we can't go back and do more for the
campaign. We want to make the other guys wake up on November 3rd
thinking "Maybe we could have done a little bit more and worked a
little harder."
If everyone does their part we can come together in celebration
on November 2nd and rejoice that we have achieved better
representation in our government!
Thank you,
Christine Mosier
