Sussex Dems "Chairman's Thank You Picnic", 7/23

Dear Friends and Supporters:

During the past seven months that I have served as our county's Democratic Party's leader, It has been both rewarding and invigorating to work with such a wide variety of Democrats, independents and disaffected Republicans who share my view that the people of Sussex County would be best served by a real, competitive two party political system.

As an expression of my appreciation for the ever increasing support that I and the Sussex County Democratic Committee (SCDC) have received, and to give us all an opportunity to get together in a more relaxed, casual social setting, my wife, Reba, and I invite you and your families to our home for the First Annual Chairman's Thank You Picnic.

As you are aware, during the few months that I have been Chairman of the SCDC, I have been very active in my efforts to enhance the SCDC's profile and to gain the SCDC support at the county, regional and state levels. These efforts have already resulted in party building visits to our county by the New Jersey Democratic State Committee's Executive Director, Janice Campbell; 5th Congressional District Democratic candidates Anne Wolfe and Paul Aronsohn; New Jersey's 6th District Congressman Frank Pallone; and U.S. Senator, and our choice to be the next governor of New Jersey, the honorable Jon Corzine.

These efforts have also resulted in the Corzine for Governor campaign making a commitment to work close with the SCDC to conduct a strong, aggressive and first class goverentorial campaign in Sussex County. That commitment is reflected in the Corzine for Governor Campaign assigning a Campaign Field Director, Amanda Clausen, and a full time Sussex County Campaign Field Coordinator, Mallory Sharpe, to work with the SCDC.

At the Chairman's Thank You Picnic, you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with both Amanda and Mallory.

Reba and I will host the First Annual Chairman's Thank You Picnic on
Saturday, July 23, 2005 (rain or shine), from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at our home located at 5 Telfer Drive, in the Glenwood section of Vernon Township.
