Hundreds of people marched through the streets of Princeton Borough and Trenton last night holding candles in support of Cindy Sheehan, the woman demanding to know - from President Bush's own lips - what her son died for in Iraq.
The two events were among hundreds planned for last night across the nation. The political action group Moveon.org said on its Web site that more than 50,000 people had registered for 1,627 vigils across the United States.
The Princeton marchers wore signs saying "Support the Troops - Bring them Home" and "America stands by Cindy." Others carried placards with photographs of fallen soldiers lined up like photographs in a yearbook, the rows of young faces occasionally interrupted by photographs of flag-draped coffins.
