Actually, I do feel sorry for him.

Somebody on the bus to DC yesterday said someone she knows well works for Garrett.

She says that the Republicans are really giving him shit for voting against CAFTA and Eminent Domain.

She says he's getting ignored.

Please forgive me, but when he called me I could feel the desperation in his voice.

I don't feel sorry for him because I suddenly think he's a good guy and I'm the bully and he the rigorous scrutiny he's getting is something he doesn't deserve. And I don't think I'm a weak democrat for feeling sorry for him. I want to give him aid and comfort. He's so fucking desperate, I want to encourage him to resign his post and get a good therapist. He can afford it.

The deeper he sinks, the worse it's going to get.

I feel sorry for him also. But the fact of the matter remains he doesn't represent the fifth and the voters must hold him accountable and elect a good democrat in his stead.
