Dear Kire,
When the Corzine for Governor campaign invited me to participate in an event next Tuesday night, October 11, I told them I would be busy listening to my good friend Jon Corzine whip Doug Forrester's butt in their radio debate.
But then I realized how much fun it would be to listen to the debate with some of Jon's biggest supporters.
So I'd like to invite you to join me next Tuesday night at The Stress Factory Comedy Club in New Brunswick for a debate party. It'll be a great chance to cheer on our guy (Corzine) as he takes on Bush's guy (Forrester).
Space is limited -- so get your tickets now. The doors open at 6:45 PM on Tuesday, October 11th, and we'll have the debate live on the sound system. I, of course, will be providing commentary. And I'm looking forward to hearing, and ridiculing, the next batch of Forrester lies.
This election is so important for the people of New Jersey. Jon Corzine is a fighter, an experienced manager, and a real leader. He's been a great Senator, and he'll make an even better Governor. I know you've all been doing your part to help him bring his message to the people of New Jersey, and I'm excited to do my part.
Doug Forrester, on the other hand, is a liar and a Republican. Maybe there should be a new word for that, like liepublican. Judging by his ads, you'd think he is pro-choice, pro-stem cell research, pro-gun control, and a Democrat. Which I'm sure explains why Karl Rove was in town fundraising for him a few months ago.
Of course, if Forrester tries any of his trademark distortions on Tuesday night, I - a board-certified debunker -
will be ready to give him the mocking of a lifetime. But this party won't just be about merciless derision of a hapless prevaricator. It's about coming together to support Jon Corzine as he fights to give New Jerseyans a state they can be proud to live in, and a state I can be proud to live a short car trip away from.

See you Tuesday!
