Ras: Corzine Leads 45-38%

Put a fork in Forrester. He's done!

October 6, 2005--The race to be New Jersey's next Governor is getting a bit closer. Democrat Jon Corzine's lead over Republican Doug Forrester has slipped to single digits.

The latest Rasmussen Reports election poll finds that Senator Corzine attracting 45% of the Garden State vote while Forester earns 38%. That's the closest the race has been since the day after both men emerged victorious from their party primaries.

1. I don't know about that, I would think Corzine would be leading

by a bigger margin. I don't take any of these races for granted.

2. Forester's deception seems to be working

But only to an extent. I get the sense that the race is tightening up. Corzine needs to go on an ad blitz now.!!!!!!!

4. Now if he would run ads tying him to Rove

Rove was a featured speaker at one of Forrester's fundraisers earlier this year. I hope he has it ready to roll if/when Rove is indicted later this month.

5. The Forrester ads really tick me off...

The latest ones start out by calling Corzine "Liberal" Jon Corzine, and then tries to associate the word "liberal" with tax-raising, corruption, and basically anything related to McGreevey. Between these ads and exposure to Rush/Hannity/Coulter etc., it's no wonder your typical apolitical American has negative connotations of anything liberal.
