GOP mayor sent my son an absentee ballot application.
Envelope says "Mayor _____" in return address, w/P.O. Box address. My son has not requested an application, but he did vote absentee in the presidential election.

Enclosed w/the application was a GOP propaganda piece promoting the 3 Thugs on the township slate.

An enclosed letter w/letterhead of mayor's name and township's name promotes her and her two fellow Thugs. Bottom of the letter in EXTREMELY tiny print says "Paid for by (township) Republicans."

This is the second time we've received GOP-paid propaganda w/the appearance of an official letter from the mayor. The first one was a doozy -- full of dark hints about the "agendas" of people who opposed the mayor's actions, w/o any mention of what the issue was. Made me check out what's been going on, or, IOW, had the opposite effect of what the letter intended.

I'm guessing this is more or less legal, but it seems fraudulent in that she is sending materials that look very much like official information but is actually partisan propaganda paid for by her party.

Anyone know anything about absentee ballots or this kind of mailing?

1. I'm from NJ and I voted absentee
It just seems strange to me that they would just send him an application like that. I had to actually request mine from the county clerk

2. Just got a similar one from Corzine
which looks like "voters information" but is really an absentee ballot application.

It is kind of a sleazy tactic.
