How would you start a petition in NJ?(Bank bailout)
Good morning,

This post originated with the news article below about the secrecy involved with the bank bailout.

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/M/MELTDOWN_SECRETS?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2008-12-22-07-04-56

I am looking to start a petition to our congresspersons demanding transparency in regards to the $350 billion dollars that we, as taxpayers, have given to the banks.

As it stands, every day that they do not reveal what they are doing with that money makes it more and more difficult to defend against the rumors and accusations that they are engaging in some form of wrongdoing and/or that there is something that is so bad that they are afraid to tell us.

Does anyone have any hints or ideas on how to start a petition?

Thanks

1. not sure, but i like your idea
i think its a great idea to ask for more transparency on the bailout $. as you know, $350bn is only the first half of the TARP funds and the cost of the whole bailout may be much, much larger.
