Gov. Christie defends decision to stay in Florida during blizzard, requests federal aidPublished: Saturday, January 01, 2011, 6:00 AM Updated: Saturday, January 01, 2011, 10:48 AM

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie praised his administration and defended his decision to remain in Florida during this week’s blizzard at his first public appearance since nearly 3 feet of snow fell in some parts of the state.
He deflected blame for unpaved local roads to the mayors and called criticism of his decision not to return home sooner partisan, saying it came from Democrats looking for any line of attack — and the media with nothing else to report during a slow news week.
As plows removed snow from the sidewalk outside Freehold’s Hall of Records Friday morning, inside Christie signed an application officially requesting aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Christie said he toured Monmouth County earlier in the morning, calling it the "epicenter" of the storm.
...
"If you live in the northeast this is going to happen sometimes," Christie said. "We just have to be the tough New Jerseyans that we are and grit our teeth and get through it."What arrogance. YOU didn't have to grit your teeth at Disney World, did you, Chris? Fleeing the state in the face of an impending crisis doesn't make you much of a "tough New Jerseyan" either. Does it, Chris?
Dear Leader Christie. An arrogant, incompetent fraud. You can read the full article at this link:
