TRUTH:
1) The invasion of Iraq violated international law
2) There were no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq
3) There was no connection between Iraq and the events of 9/11/01
4) The treatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib violated the terms of the Geneva Convention
5) U.S.Constitutional provisions were violated by the invasion of Iraq
6) The U.S.A. Patriot Act threatens the very foundation of the U.S. Constitution
STEPS TOWARD RECONCILIATION:
1) Deliver a U.S. Citizens' Apology to the Iraqi people (approximately 1000 signatures have been obtained)
2) Send another U.S. Citizens' Delegation to Iraq
3) Develop an on-going solidarity movement with the Iraqi people
4) Establish a truly independent investigation into the misuse of
intelligence in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq
5) End the occupation
Following the Hearing, participants are encouraged to walk as a group to the corner of Broad and Market Streets to participate in the People's
Organization for Progress 1:00pm rally "Peace and Justice from Iraq to the United States.
