How exciting to be part of the state convention. I wish I had time. Teaching takes up all my time and energy.

Hopefully we will get some other interested people before March 15. But if we don't, that's o.k. It'll give us some time to talk.

I'm in Santa Fe right now, fighting for some NM NAACP resolutions dealing with more treatment vs incarceration for non-violent drug offenders, more $$ for Public Defenders, housing for homeless and those just out of prison. I attended the committee meeting on the domestic partners bill--I just love it.
Would love to meet some DUers in person.

7. Well, ifya don't mind a 45-minute commute, we can put ya up in style.

It's actually not a bad drive, we're right off 599 close to I-25, but it's a good 45 minutes. If you can't find anything cheaper, it might be worth the gas money-- I calculate about 12-16 bucks per round trip, depending on current per-gallon prices, mileage & driving conditions.

We have a nice guest room and plenty of space. The cat is a cranky, hostile little brat with strangers but he's cute to look at.

9. heheh.... he is an equal-opportunity butthead, it's true...

...but just when I start to wonder "WHY am I spending money on cat food...?" he climbs up on my chest while we're watching a DVD, and sits there PRRRRRRRRRRing and gazing into my face and being uber-cute and, well...

Of course, that usually ends with him sinking his teeth into the hand he's seduced me into petting him with, and then jumping down and giving me a bad look and ostentatiously bathing...

But he's worth it for the entertainment value, if nothing else.

Lemme know if we can put you up. It would be no trouble!
