Democratic Party of New Mexico, can you spare a few hours a month?
Can you spare a few hours a week to change the future of America? Help us make New Mexico a Blue State in ’08!

This year will be a historic election for Democrats all across New Mexico. We need your help TODAY to ensure our success in November.

By volunteering at our Albuquerque office or joining the Democratic Party of New Mexico’s Neighborhood Leader program you can help bring meaningful change to our community and our country in less than 3 hours per week.

The Democratic Party of New Mexico is recruiting Neighborhood Leaders across the Land of Enchantment. The job of a Neighborhood Leader is simple and easy. You agree to take responsibility for contacting your friends and neighbors in your immediate area and talking to them about our Democratic nominees and the issues that matter most.

If you are interested in becoming a Neighborhood Leader please contact Northern Field Organizer, Crystal Romero, or Southern Field Organizer, Miriam Diemer, by telephone at (505) 830-3650 or crystal@nmdemocrats.org and miriam@nmdemocrats.org.

We also need volunteers in our office to assist with data entry and reception duties. If you are interested in volunteering at the Albuquerque office please contact DPNM’s Volunteer Coordinator, Buck Glanz, at 505-830-3650 or buck@nmdemocrats.org. We have three hour shifts throughout the day and we need your help. Please specify your availability.

There will be a series of trainings taking place next week all across New Mexico focused on the Neighborhood Leader Program. Parag Mehta, Democratic National Committee Training Director will be heading up the curriculum for each of the events. Find a training near you and make a difference in your community!

To RSVP for any of the following trainings contact Crystal Romero at (505) 830-3650 or crystal@nmdemocrats.org.

1. there is nothing worth fighting for in this election cycle
people are intellectually lazy and ill informed and i don't want to be a part of that. i have terminated my membership in the NM Dem party.

2. Agree with some of that, but also respectfully disagree with some:
people lazy and uninformed? No argument there. Terminating membership in NM Dem party? I understand, and may or may not do the same; the whole party nationally , with exceptions here and there, is an embarrassment... But there IS something worth fighting for; especially here. Keeping Heather Wilson ( or Steve Pearce) out of the U.S. Senate is of tremendous importance, as is keeping that idiot Darren White out of congress. And as little enthusiasm as I have for Hillary or Obama, keeping yet another repub out of the white House is of great importance too.

4. yeah, you're just a ray of sunshine aren't ya?
I'm with alb, the downticket races are important enough for me to get off my selfish ass and give a few hours a month

otherwise, how can i complain if i did nothing to change it?

YMMV
