So what's next for Patricia Madrid?
I know it's not my state, but I'm slightly obsessed with Southwestern politics.

But, what does she do next? It'd be a shame if the NMDP let her just fade away, but it seems like Domenici is set to run for re-election in 08, leaving her with the possiblity of running for Governor (if Richardson doesn't become President) or for her old job in 10.

Thoughts?

2. how've you been?
anyway, she seems a likely choice for Interior Sec. if a dem wins in 8, and if a western dem wins, maybe even attorney general. but which western dem could run for president and win, I don't know where they'd come from.

3. me either (on the Western part)
and I'm doing good! loving it here in the heart of rural NM

funny thing is that the Dems are very strong here and run the local government and most of the Dist judges but vote for asses like Pearce and bush in national elections

4. What's next for Patricia Madrid
I hope that she just goes away. Anyone with half a brain could have beat Heather Wilson this year, thus Madrid has less than half a brain. She fell so flat on her face in the debate that she should now be called Crepe Madrid. How does someone who went to law school, became a judge, and get elected twice as attorney general do so piss ass poorly in an easy debate? She couldn't even express a single coherent thought. Couldn't she have at least memorized canned answers? She wasn't even able to do that.

Crepe Madrid wants desperately to be the first woman governor of NM, but all her opponents have to do is bring up her performance in the Wilson debate, and it will be enough to remind voters of how utterly inept she is.

7. On the bright side
someone who obviously can't think on her feet came DAMN close to unseating Wilson.

Who knows, maybe we will win the next one.
