1000 pairs of boots on the ground for Weprin in NY-9 today. GET IT DONE !

Yes, Turd-Head Turner is up in the poll of "likely" voters, yet in the very same poll MANY more respondents said they think Weprin is still going to win, AND even some Republican operatives are saying they don't think Turner can pull it off since the Weprin team has more money and much more of a ground game. C'mon NYC Dems. You hold that district 3-1 in registration. Yeah, people are pissed about the economy. Naturally. And yeah, Weprin has certainly shown his weaknesses as a candidate. But you can't let that TeaPuke take that seat. It is all about TURNOUT TURNOUT TURNOUT. I just read 1000 people are putting boots on the ground for Weprin with 50,000 door to door contacts today. Also, 128,000 have already been called or contacted face to face. Ads touting Weprin and blasting the Puke are all over the airwaves. All the major papers and unions are with Weprin. For goodness sake, get the turnout and get keep that seat.
Make calls and bang on doors. Please help to get your voters to the polls. Hell, I even sent in an online donation. Do it. THANKS.

1. I just moved from this district, grew up there! I hope the polls are wrong!
My dad and lots of my friends are still living in the district. Everyone I know is voting Weprin, I cannot imagine how a district thats almost 4:1 in favor of D's, and probably wouldve reelected Weiner even after the pictures (especially after a year+ passed in Nov 12), is going to vote for Tea Party Turner. Fact: Turner still has NO ground game and NO money he was trying to get organized yesterday during the day! Weprin has thousands of volunteers, very strong ground game, and much much more $$$. Anything is possible, esp with the polls...but it makes ZERO sense to me. I will be depressed if this happens, I lived there until this past year, I cannot fathom this district going red....hopefully turnout will be good and the polls wrong.

2. To win, Weprin's people must expand the map past "likely" voters.

They say they expect light turnout for this special election. The polls are based on "likely" voters. The key is to have a much stronger ground game and get "LESS LIKELY" voters the hell to the polls. With that kind of registration advantage, THAT is what must happen and CAN happen. The problem it sounds to me is that 1) Weprin is from outside the district which some people take very personally, and the RePUKE has been using it against Weprin bigtime; 2) People are upset over the economy and want to take it out on the incumbent party, and Obama in particular; 3) I understand that many older Jewish voters there are upset about some perceived "hostile" position Obama has with Israel (which is complete and total bunk - no different than Bush's or any other president's position) and the RePUKE has been exploiting that; Weprin has gaffed and just does not have a strong message delivery / too many campaigning mistakes.

Nonetheless, the strong registration dvantage coupled with a very strong ground game should be able to result in enough of a voter EXPANSION TURNOUT to win it.

3. Turner has been very gaffe prone too..

He "never met a tax loophole he didnt like" and Weprin has hammered that. His favorite GOP candidate is Herman Cain, which he chose after first saying he didnt know who to support. Also Turner didnt fair that well in the last 2 debates...funny how debates dont matter anymore!....Turner just started organizing his ground game this weekend and had to loan himself money, usually a sign of desperation/losing....Weprin has an extremely strong ground game with a thousand+ working for him...I hope the polls are wrong and Weprin can win, even if he has to win by a nose.

4. You have a toxic electorate there right now; very angry, very upset. To win, again, Weprin MUST ex-
pand the map past the "likely" voters. There is also a socialist third partier taking about 4%. Usually these elections have light turnout overall. Weprin's MUST expand the map and get less likely Dems to the polls. That means reliable Dems who would not normally vote in such elections: younger people, moinorities, etc. The polls are based on a small universe of likely voters. But the RePuke's voters ARE motivated.
It seems the only hope Weprin has is that his large ground team will expand the map and get less likely voters to the polls. I hope like hell they can do it. I'm sending another small online donation.
