Living Wills in NY
Sorry, Terri Schiavo is spilling over here, but I just learned some info today. My lawyer here in NY told me that if Terri Schaivo were in New York, this whole thing would be a moot point, because in New York, if there is no documentation (living will) then the state's position is that no life support can be withdrawn for any circumstances.

YIKES!

1. Make sure you get that living will drawn up, it's something we should all
learn from this case.

2. I've had one for quite a few years.
I also made sure that my Mom made one the day that she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It made keeping her at home and letting her die at home ALOT easier.

4. That's great that the forms are available online
I got mine from my doctor. He helped me fill it out complete with medical terms & regular terms, just to make sure that some RTL'er doctor doesn't get confused! He said these days, there's no such thing as being too specific.
