If the IOC is true to their word, Bloomberg and Doctoroff have hurt NYC's chances by offering to pick up IOC expenses (and have NYC taxpayers foot the bill).
New York mayor Michael Bloomberg had earlier offered sports federations a chance to gain a foothold in the lucrative U.S. market as part of their pitch to win the race. New York also offered free office space with computers, phones and staff to sports federations.

American politicians no longer work to avoid the appearance of scandals since the MSM is all but forbidden to comment on it. Of course, this kind of politics doesn't travel well.
Thank you Mike Bloomberg! Your arrogance may have saved NYC from the corruption, graft and taxes that come with hosting the Olympic Games.
