This means that blind and disabled voters in NY could use paper ballots! This would make it harder to rig our elections than with DRE voting machines. The lack of federal certification of this device was one of the excuses used by Albany and some voting system vendors to dissuade the legislature from adopting a paper ballot statewide voting system. Well, cross that one off the list!

Tell your local legislators and Boards of Elections the good news and ask them to adopt a paper ballot/optical scan voting system, or to keep the lever machines and add the Automark to fully comply with HAVA.
