Long Island Rent
What is the average rent for a one and two bedroom apartment in Long Island currently?

1. If you have to ask, you can't afford it

Long Island is a big place. Where were you thinking of moving?

2. Ain't that the truth
I'm in Suffolk which tends to be less expensive than Nassau: closer to the City, the more expensive, is the general rule. Not many apartment complexes here in Suffolk, so most rentals are in private homes. I would say for a one bedroom in the range of about $1,000 to $1,500. For 2 bedrooms anywhere from around $1,500 to $2,000. All this plus utilities. Rentals in private homes are cheaper than the apartment complexes.
