Never On Sunday: Sunday parking meter rule
The New York City Council has overwhelmingly voted to override the mayor's veto of his Sunday parking meter rule.

Sunday parking meters could be a thing of the past within 30 days. The coucil voted 41-to-2. It originally passed a bill to end Sunday parking meters, saying it forced people to leave church to put quarters in the meter. The mayor countered by saying the meters kept people from taking up spaces all day long.

Sunday parking meters could be a thing of the past by mid-November. The New York City Council is set to vote TODAY to override the mayor's Sunday parking meter rule.

Queens Councilman Hiran Monserrate says people should get a day of rest in having to feed the meters.
