NY Post: MIKE HAS IT SEWN UP WITH 34-PT. LEAD: POLL
It IS the Post, but here it is:

http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/30760.htm
November 5, 2005 -- Mayor Bloomberg has opened up his biggest lead of the race against Fernando Ferrer — a virtually insurmountable 34-point edge, a new poll yesterday found.
The Marist College poll just days before Tuesday's election reported that Bloomberg had pulled further away from his under-financed challenger in recent days, grabbing 64 percent of the 466 likely voters surveyed, compared to Ferrer's 30 percent.

Three days before, the Marist poll had Bloomberg ahead by 31 points, 62 to 31 percent.

1. Unfortunately, I believe it.
This Bloomberg jerk has been able to flood the air with feel good ads and no opposing view. No one to say that poverty in NYC has markedly increase under his watch.

2. Bloomberg's support is 8 miles wide and one inch deep
He uses nothing but PAID campaigners (astro turf). He didn't raise money from voters and didn't run in a primary. We'll see how many turn out for his "landslide" tomorrow.

3. Yes and that's why in the past couple of days he's been telling people
"Vote vote! Don't take my lead for granted!"

4. Doesn't matter if it's true or not because ...
Ferrer supporters will hear those numbers and get discouraged because they'll believe there's no hope of winning - and they won't even bother going to the polls. :-(

5. I voted for Bloomy
As a life long NYC resident,New York has never been safer.Bloomberg has picked up where Rudy left off in improving NYC.Why would I vote for a Democrat for mayor after Ed Koch and David Dinkins?

6. But it's bland. Culture here is on its deathbed. I'd rather have hookers
in Time Square than people dressed up as cartoon characters. & Free Speech Zones don't make me feel safe at all.

there are a lot of folks Bloomy has left behind. The blandness will not last.
