Hey New York ... want to win in 2006?
The 2006 mid-terms elections are now less than one year away. We are faced with the great opportunity to take back one or both houses of Congress, or at the least gain a few seats. The country is ready for a change and Democrats are the candidates best suited to advance those changes. We, the evilDUers, the grassroots, the groovers on the underground funkroad, WE are the ones who can empower our party!

"Ok so what?" you may say. "What can I do about it?" Well, the first thing I want EVERYONE to do is go to www.ourcongress.org and check on your district. This is a fantastic website - good layout, good info, and good links. It is clean and easy to use, but it is lacking people committed to keeping the information up-to-date. There are competitive races that haven't been updated since the last election cycle! Go there real quick, check up on your district, and do what you can. If someone is running in your district but isn't listed, make a quick post and share a link. If a nasty Repug is stinking it up and noone knows about, post it. If you've got time, look at the other districts and maybe give them a helping hand too. If you've got money, drop $10 or $20 to worthy candidates. We need to target EVERY district. NO GOoPer should run unopposed. If we run an aggressive campaign in every district, we WILL take back the congress and put this country back on the right path. (check this out ;) )

Next on the list - go to the research forum AND your state forum to find out more about our situation. What are the districts and states we can take back? Who is the incumbent? Who is the challenger? Do you have info that isn't posted or see something that isnt up-to-date?

Last - find a few good candidates that you support and send them some money. Its a sad truth but it takes money and lots of it to beat incumbent bush-bots. A few $$$ can make a big difference!

OK thanks for reading this whole thread. If you agree, read, kick and vote. PEACE!
-Alec

voting machine of choice in NY. The battle is raging now and you are blissfully unaware of the massive fraud that will steal our Democracy.
Go to the meetings and speak out about what is transpiring even now. All your plans are for naught if they put in hackable machines with an unreadable code. PB/OS(paper Ballots and Optical scan machines: in precinct tallied) is what is needed now, not later. I promise you if this event occurs and the makers of this crime to Democracy are allowed by our inaction to implement these things into our state elections, you will not see a Democrat win and all your hard work and ideas will not be worth the spit they use to defile our Nation. Wake up people and see the real and present threat.

2. you are absolutely right
election theft is REAL ... we need to press this point at every opportunity. Tom Feeney, Ken Blackwell, Ohio, New Mexico, you name it. Dont let this issue drop! If we dont get honest elections, Dems will continue to be cheated. Now the question is...what are we gonna do about it?

3. Thank you. This IS a great website!
I ran across it when I wasn't at home and have meant to get back to it, ever since, so thanks. I noticed that my district isn't up to date. And thanks for the pep talk. We have a lot of work to do before the next election, but I already think we're on a roll!:D:kick:

4. Vulnerable Republicans
I've listed the Republican Districts on our PDA New York Website
Know Your Republicans

Also, on our front page, are descriptions of the most vulnerable seats, borrowed from this wonderful article:

5. Great site
This site is great, thanks!

There is some stuff from 2004 still up there, though. It took me a minute to notice :dunce:, since it was mingled with the 2006 stuff.
