The Official NYC Gathering: February 18th, 2005 - Come Join Us!!!

After much deliberation with the wonderful KOEB gals (which I'm an honorary member even though I rarely get to watch Keith Olberman - but I do respect the guy alot) we have come up with a time, date & location for the New York City gathering!!

The gathering will be at Rocky Sullivan's on Saturday February 18th at 8pm at night and it'll last as long as we opt to hang out there or until the bar throws us out

Details are as follows:

Rocky Sullivan's is where we had the DU Party during the RNC Convention (well we were the anti-convention). It's located on 129 Lexington Ave (Between 28th & 29th street but closer to 29th, if I remember it's on the right hand side of the road). I believe the 4/5/6 Green line has a subway stop on 28th Park South that is about a block away from the bar. I'm sure there is bus service nearby but I know squat about the NY Bus system.

We'll start gathering at Rocky's around 8pm that night. There is no food at this bar; however, they have no problem if you bring your own food and there are a slew of Indian/Vegetarian restaurants in the neighborhood. Rocky's is also a liberal haven hosting several Air America events and a favorite hangout of Randi Rhodes (a bunch of us are going to email her and see if we can get her to show up for our event)

There is no need to RSVP to attend although if you show up with an "I Love W" shirt you best believe we'll find a way to escort you politely out the door!!

So to all the great DUers in NYC, I hope to see you all there. The alcohol is cheap and the company will be great and hopefully we'll have a fun time hanging out all night!!

Barb's youngest (22) requested "Chicago" tickets for her birthday again (we saw "Brooklyn" in'05) and we wound up getting them for Feb. 25th !
