Peace Has No Borders: A Festival of Resistance will be a historic
opportunity for concerned citizens from Canada and the U.S. to unite
our efforts in support of the US Iraq war resisters who have crossed
the border to find peace in Canada.
On Saturday, June 17, Canadians and Americans will “erase ” the
border and join together to call for an end to the illegal and immoral
war on Iraq, and to call on the Canadian government to provide
asylum to US war resisters. Through music, speakers, appearances by
well known friends of peace including Cindy Sheehan, we will share
information, strategies, inspiration and our hopes for an end to war.
Join us on Saturday, June 17. Let’s celebrate the courage of the war
resisters. And let’s join together on a day “without borders” to resist
war by celebrating peace.
