It was even better the second time, got to do a lot more non-touristy things.
some highlights:
Really enjoyed walking around Brooklyn, seeing some really nice brownstones. We took a bus down to von brunt street and walked up to union and around the area.. nice, a lot quieter then most of Manhattan and some pretty views of the city.
also spent a lot more time touring thru l.e.s, Greenwich, soho, china town, upper east side (where we stayed) and Chelsea.. which we both really liked since it was a lot more mellow then all the others..
some things we did: Moma, walk across the Brooklyn bridge, Corney island, top of the rock (way better then esb, some nice strolls thru central park, aquarium, Bodies exhibit (if you have not gone, it is well worth the price) we also went to Dangerfield's comedy club.. some places we ate: Pomme Frites, Sugar sweet sunshine, Fried Dumplings, Choux factory, Peanut butter and co, and a bunch of other little more classy but modest restaurant (can't think of the names)
spent a good chunk off money at Century 21 and ben sherman(new favorite line of clothes is Modern Amusement, they have some fun stuff"
also got to see a Daily show with Jon Stewart (danny devito was the guest) it was a long wait in line, but they have 7/11 handing out free water, pop, popsicles and whatever else we needed.. i was very impressed how organized the daily show staff are, and it was super fun to see the show tape.
over all.. man, i wish i lived In nyc, i adore it beyond believe.. you are some lucky people for that fact.
