According to latest poll, 26th District race is a "dead heat."
Channel 2 News (WGRZ) has conducted a poll that shows a virtual tie between incumbent Rep. Tom Reynolds (R) and his opponent Jack Davis (D).

45% Tom Reynolds (R)
43% Jack Davis (D)
8% Christine Murphy (G)
4% Undecided

1. Same pattern in the 29th with Massa
In 2004 the two districts met the same fate. I'd like to think this time the polling is indicating that simply campaigning is garnering the steady polling increase and will continue as long as the candidates are presented. Davis is better known but Reynolds has survived more challenges than Kuhl who has bitterly disappointed Houghton voters. All the factors and differences added up I at least predict the results in both races might well mirror each other.

2. More great news
The Green (Repug enabler) was thrown off the ballot. :bounce: NY-26 is a potential Dem pickup and Davis has it in for Reynolds and Dick Cheney over "free trade" and outsourcing (He's a harsh critic of both). Look for this race to get interesting and Davis to be a real fighter if elected.
