NYC Public Hearing on New Voting Machines

On November 21, 2006 at 4 PM, the Board Of Elections in NYC will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed voting systems. The hearing is open to all members of the public to enable them to provide
their thoughts and feedback to the Board’s Commissioners regarding the proposed voting
systems.

1) Avante: VOTE-TRAKKER™ EVC308-FF (Touch Screen DRE)
2) ES&S: Model 100 (Optical Scan) and ES&S AutoMARK (Ballot Marking Device)
3) Diebold: AccuVote-OS (Optical Scan) and AutoMARK VAT (Ballot Marking Device)
4) Sequoia: AVC Advantage Plus (Touch Screen DRE)
5) Sequoia: Optech Insight (Optical Scan)

1. Here in Nassau County -

our hearing Monday night will have reps from all the companies. I got a notice from my county rep, Dave Denenberg. He was the one who was going to run against King originally, but he had to have throat surgery and bowed out. I still think he could have won...the guy is LOVED by all his constituents.
