Hey, I'm back in New York and want to get the word about a book event (performance/reading) we're doing this Wednesday at the EAST HARLEM CAFÉ. And I just found out that American Latino TV will be there taping the whole thing for a profile they are doing on myself and my book, "Pardon My Spanglish ¡Porque Because!"

So, if you're in New York, come on out. Or if you know anyone in New York who might want to be there, please pass along the info. We'd really like to have nice bunch of folks in the audience, seeing how it's going to be for TV and all, and I can't afford to hire any extras to pretend they're my fans.

Oh, and it's free. Did I mention it's free?

Event will be taped for American Latino TV

Come hear comedian Bill Santiago read from his new book, Pardon My Spanglish: ¡Porque Because! (softcover, $14.95), and perform some of the hilarious Spanglish standup from his Comedy Central special. Be ready to share your own personal experiences with Spanglish (featuring twice the vocabulary and half the grammar).

This Event at the East Harlem Café, 153 East 104th Street (Lexington Avenue), will be taped for a future segment on American Latino TV. So join the live audience for an evening of FREE Entertainment in a wonderful new East Harlem cultural venue.

La Casa Azul Bookstore will have copies of Pardon My Spanglish: ¡Porque Because! available for sale, with a book signing to follow the event.

Bill Santiago had his own Comedy Central special, has appeared on Conan O'Brien, and is scheduled to appear on the Craig Ferguson show. He became a standup comic after narrowly escaping a career as a journalist, facing the fact that as a comedian he was funny, but as a reporter he was a joke. Bill Santiago's latest show, The Funny of (Latin) Dance, recently sold out at the Brava Theater in San Francisco.
