NY-23 I need more info on Bill Owens
I keep getting emails about Donate to my campaign... But none of them tell me who he is...Maybe I'm a rare breed but if you want my money the least you could do is tell me who you are and why you are the best candidate for me (I'm not gonna vote for someone just based on their party affiliation I need to know why you are the right candidate for me).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I Goggled him and even there there isn't much information out there about him, although i did find this article (from the local Press Republican Newspaper)...
William Owens said job creation and health-care reform are among his top issues at a pair of gatherings in Plattsburgh Sunday.
He said if he's elected, he will work to help President Barack Obama get support from Congress. Owens said the president is trying to come up with the right answers to a number of critical issues, such as health-care reform and the economy.
"My job in going to Washington is to support the president in that process."
Health-care reform needs to happen, Owens said, but in a manner that doesn't harm small business, the main driver of the economy. With more than 25 years experience as counsel for CVPH Medical Center and Elizabethtown Community Hospital, he said he has a good grasp of the issues facing the health-care industry.
One way to save a lot of money would be to focus on preventive care rather than wait for disease or illness to hit.
Owens said he's part of a group that has helped bring jobs to the North Country for about 25 years. They started holding events in Montreal to entice businesses and industries to open a Clinton County location, a process that has since been picked up by local government officials and the Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce.
(UPDATE: This is what I have been able to find out about Owens so far. On the issue of abortion, he is pro-choice. On marriage equality, he believes that is a civil rights issue but isn't a proponent of marriage equality, at least not as of yet. He is a resident of Plattsburgh and moved there when he retired from the Air Force.)
While these are important they are only 4 issues out of the many that are faced by NYers and Americans.
If anyone has found anything more about Bill Owens and can help me out Thank You... if you don't like that IDC what party affiliation a candidate is as long as they stand for something I can believe in then show me why he's the best candidate for the job because as of this moment IDK if I'm even gonna vote in the special election because I don't vote for "just anyone"... and I don't think it's too much to ask to get to know a candidate b4 they start asking me for $$ that is already in short supply.
1. He FINALLY has a website up
5 issues that are actually important to Upstate NY are mentioned as how he stands
http://www.billowensforcongress.com/
But I still wish he had made it easier instead of saying Please help fund my ad and told me what he stands on, rather then me spending almost everyday googling him to see if I can find anything
NY-23: Owens to Raise YOUR Taxes?
Voters in New York’s 23rd congressional district – where a special election has been forced by the appointment of former GOP Rep. John McHugh to be secretary of the Army – may be finding themselves a bit confused. Dede Scozzafava is pro-choice and has supported gay marriage, and has been endorsed by Markos Moulitsas, creator of the liberal Daily Kos blog. But she’s the Republican in the race. The conservative Club for Growth, meanwhile, is backing a third-party candidate, Doug Hoffman. Businessman Bill Owens is playing up his military background and wasn’t even a registered Democrat until he started his campaign. (continued via link below)
