1. It ain't gonna be the same. It never matches the memories, but...
with Horn&Hardart, the Automat, Nedick's and all the other places I used to grab a quick bite at gone, maybe it will be nice to stop in.

(The reverse discrimination all-black hiring policy and no tipping policies are probably history, along with the non-whipped cream cheese.)

The coffee was as I remembered it --- very good. I also got a sugared donut. It was beyond great. It was an orgasmic experience that I shared with the man behind me in line.
I think it was as good for him as it was for me.

there actually is a Chock on long island...its a small concession in a shopping ctr...the cream cheese/date nut bread "sandwich" is still great....grrrrrrrrrrrrr
