Is Paladino actually gaining ground?
Edited on Wed Sep-22-10 03:45 PM by anthroguy101
Cuomo was supposed to be a shoe-in! How can New Yorkers be so stupid?! :banghead:
If Paladino does win I've lost all faith in humanity and America as a whole.

GET TO WORK, NEW YORK!

1. Who did they ask? What did they ask?
It occurs to me that Cuomo is telling us that he won cases for us, but we none of us remember any banker going to jail. Madoff is in jail. Anyone else? What were these cases?

A perp walk on camera would do wonders, I think.

2. All I can say is that upstate NY
really doesn't like the NYC metro area all that much. After the circus that the legislature and the governor have presided over the last few years, Paladino probably doesn't look too bad to a lot of upstaters.

5. Upstate NY
I do see a lot of Paladino signs in Orleans Co. This is Louise Slaughter's district. I have yet to see anything for Louise's opponent.

:kick:

3. Cuomo is scripted and staged, Paladino is angry and off the cuff.
That's the only thing most people are looking at. Most don't know that Paladino is a fucking maniac, and some of those who know don't care. They feel government has failed, and they want someone to scream about it.

4. Paladino's been on his best behavior and saying the right things lately...
He's nuts, but he's not stupid-- he's painting Cuomo as an Albany insider and part of the problem. You may have noticed NY has had a lot of problems. Gone are the days when we could look across the river and laugh at New Jersey.

If he wins, when he runs into Sheldon Silver he's going to find out that the NY governor has almost no power at all. The usual hilarity will ensue.

(Lots of people think Spitzer was set up because he was a crime-fighting white knight. If he was set up, it was because he thought he actually was someone important and fought constantly with the legislature. In New York, the legislature always wins.)
