VOCAL-NY joined New York Communities for Change, Make the Road New York, Right to the City NYC, CAAV Chinatown Tenants Union and other allies on March 28th to attempt a people's meeting with Steven Spinola, the head of the Real Estate Board of NY (REBNY) and Committee to Save New York (CSNY). Both REBNY and CSNY have been the leading cheerleaders for an austerity budget that eliminates the millionaire's tax and excludes stronger rent laws that will keep New York affordable.
