Yuk! Anyone else seen the fake Dr Seuss slam ad against Kay Hagan?

1. How can that ad be effective?

It's so cutesy, and really doesn't seem to work as a negative ad. Equating Kay Hagan to a cute Dr. Seuss character seems to work in her favor, if anything. It's a weird use of ad time if you ask me.

2. Beyond stupid.

They really have a lot of contempt for repub voters. If I were a repub voter, I'd feel insulted that they didn't want to engage me on a higher level than that.

3. I was smoking in a local hookah bar when it came on

and I choked and ended up having a mini-coughing fit. Fuck her for ruining the enjoymnent I get from my Moroccan smoking addiction.

But in all seriousness, with the exception of her calling Kay Hagan a diaper face, I can't imagine Liddy Dole being any more juvenile and stupid than this.

I'd be surprised if she really did sign off on it. I think it came from the RNCC.

The childishness and over the top cuteness of it just doesn't speak of her style to me. Liddy's more stuffy and old-fashioned. That ad reeks of Repuke college kids with marketing degrees.

Oh, and morroccan smoking is just as unhealthy as western smoking. :P

edit: Is there anyway that Dr Seuss's estate would be able to get them to stop? Since they are using his recognizable style for purposes which he would obviously not approve.

firstly, technically, they can not get the idiots to stop the ads because the copyright only applies to the characters, etc. of dr. seuss. they're not using any direct rip offs of any seuss characters, and one can't copyright poetic cadences, so they can use similar styles without needing the approval of the seuss estate.

and with regards to smoking, it's incredibly relaxing. thank "god" my job allows me to do my work while smoking.
