Obama soundly defeats McCain in NCSSM mock election
From the October 2008 NCSSM Alumni Connections:

If NCSSM is any indication of how the rest of North Carolina will vote on Election Day, it will be a very good year for democrats. By wide margins, NCSSM voted a clean sweep for democratic candidates. Here's how the School voted:

President:
Barack Obama - 67.74%
John McCain - 21.77%
Bob Barr - 6.05%
Write-ins - 4.44%

N.C. Governor
Beverly Perdue - 55.24%
Pat McCrory - 22.58%
Mike Munger - 18.15%
No votes - 4.03%

N.C. Lieutenant Governor
Walter Dalton - 52.82%
Robert Pittenger - 26.21%
Phillip Rhodes - 13.71%
No votes - 7.26%

U.S. Senate
Kay Hagan - 60.48%
Elizabeth Dole - 27.42%
Christopher Cole - 8.87%
No vote - 3.23%
