It would also appear that turnout has been highest in the most heavily Democratic areas.

Doubtless, the early vote will represent a far larger proportion of the total vote than in 2004. In some places, it would appear that a majority have already voted, which would make our job on e-day easier.

I don't mean to be sanguine about this. Show up and volunteer. We need everyone. But it may well be the case that NC is already in Obama's column.
