Matthew Shepard was a student who, because he was gay, was tied to a wooden fence, beaten, and left to die. Virginia Foxx said that calling this attack a hate crime is a "hoax."

That's the very, very least that loathsome woman can do. It takes some real, to-the-bone, unmitigated, self-righteous, forthright, venomous gall to call a child's death by torture at the hands of hatred-filled thugs "a hoax" right in front of that child's mother -- especially when Foxx knew Mrs Shepard would be in the gallery.

Pure-dee venomous, spite and meanness. Foxx has since been stubbornly unapologetic about it.

I hope she blisters in hell along with the thugs she enables and abets.

As a North Carolinian, I can honestly state that Virginia Foxx has staked her position of "most hated woman in America" for her grossly ignorant distortion of the facts of a case of national importance.
