We all knew Mike.

He was your friend's son. Or the friendly kid at the grocery store. Or the neighbor that helped you around the house.

We all knew Mike. And that's what makes Mike's death all the more terrible. When Mike died, the official reason was metastatic colon cancer. But, as his mother simply states, Mike died from lack of health insurance. "His cancer could have - and should have - been caught in its early stages."
