Tell Congress to Repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

This Thursday, the Senate Armed Services Committee will consider legislation introduced by Senator Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) which would repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT), the law that forbids gay men and lesbians from serving openly in the military. Your Senator's vote will be crucial to making sure that DADT is repealed this year.

Since 1994, over 13,500 service members have been discharged under DADT due to their sexual orientation. We can no longer afford to lose some of our most talented soldiers, linguists, intelligence analysts, and doctors to this discriminatory and unconscionable policy. It hurts military readiness… it hurts unit cohesion… and, it is antithetical to American values. You can read more about DADT here. https://secure.aclu.org/site/Advocacy?pagename=homepage&id=2397

Take Action Below: Tell your Senator to vote "YES" on the Lieberman Amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.
