Elaine Marshall

Cal Cunningham and Elaine Marshall both are very compelling candidates for various reasons.

Cunningham has the support of the DSCC, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (establishment).
vs
Elaine Marshall has the support of Moveon.org based on a vote by moveon members.

Also,Elaine Marshall is endorsed by groups that can likely get out the vote on June 22 (or earlier)

Congresswoman Eva Clayton
US Senator Robert Morgan
Campaign Chair and Former Senate candidate Ken Lewis
Civil rights leader Dr. Julius Chambers
Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker
Asheville Mayor Terry Bellamy
Durham Mayor Bill Bell
State Senator Ellie Kinnaird (one of the greatest NC state senators!)
Charlotte Observer
Yes! Weekly
Greenville Daily Reflector
The Independent Weekly
The Charlotte Post
Black Political Caucus of Charlotte Mecklenburg
Raleigh Wake Citizens Association M-PAC
Women's Campaign Forum
National Organization for Women
Women's Political Caucus

"Elaine Marhsall has taken on the same special interests that dominate Washington - and won
It's that type of leadership we need right now. Elaine Marshall is the right person at the right time for North Carolina" - Robert Morgan, Democratic US Senator (1975-1981)

Elaine Marshall has unquestioned integrity.
I've known Elaine Marshall for a long time. She has served our state without a hint of scandal and has always stood for honest, transparent government." - State Senator Ellie Kinnaird.

WYVBC note: NC State Sen Kinnaird is one of the originators of the Public Confidence in Elections Act, which increased transparency in elections, required paper ballots and audits, and set standards for voting systems and vendors. So Sen Kinnaird knows what she is talking about when she uses the word transparent.

1. What I know about Elaine Marshall is that as Sec of State for NC she allowed Peace Movments to March
before the Iraq Invasion when we were Soooo ...Mobilized. She attended every function that I've been to as an ACTIVIST for VOTING REFORM and Issues that Progressive Dems care about. She was always there and never failed us...(unlike our Governor and our "former Senator/Pres Candidate...John Edwards."

I will stand for Elaine Marshall over Cal Cunningham. Our local newscasts have shown two debates between Cunningham and Marshall. If you watched both you could have seen that Elaine is the seasoned, qualified candidate and that Cunningham seems to be "clueless" on so many issues facing us all.

That Elaine who has been a Good DNC Dem all these years is trashed because she supported those of us who were against the Iraq Invasion is just really LOW of Rahm and the DNC to do this. She's a good Howard Dean Supporter and an Fabulous Dem (not DINO) and so the Dem Party Establishment...of Course...supports HER OPPONENT!

Vote for ELAINE...she was there for us when even our Govenor Easley wasn't ...not the rest of the Dem Establishment.
