I've been looking at the Decorah Eagle-Cam for several weeks now and have found watching the eaglets fascinating. This story made me really angry. How could someone take the life of this magnificent bird? The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for killing the bird. The Humane Society is also offering a $2,500 reward. The article is in the Asheville Citizen-Times.

and news of this just makes me sick. After watching the eggs being laid, hatching, then watching the babies grow up and :( fly away I feel like they are part of my family. I just don't understand how anyone could kill such a magnificent bird. I hope they catch the person that did this !
