We are coming to Valle Crucis and Asheville from 8/13-8/20 and would
love to meet some D U'rs as we are thinking about retiring down there from Chicago. Where do you all hang out? Any special Democratic type bars or cafes? Any meetings or get togethers planned?

I googled as much as I could but didn't see any activites of the type we are looking for, oh well.

We're down in Charlotte and would welcome the chance to get together with you. Hope you have a great time in the NC mountains. The Asheville area is definately one of the more progressive areas of the state so I'm surprised no one got up with you. Maybe everyone is on vacation or on their way to Crawford?
